Just last night I read about said production, currently in a trial run in San Francisco. By all accounts, *hearing* it would not differ too much from any other recording of the opera (except for occasional use of non-traditional instruments, like synthesized strings).
What I fear greatly and still more is his forthcoming "Alexander the Great" movie, with L. DiCaprio.
