My company had a fiscal-quarterly company-wide meeting / cookout / tent revival and at one part this sales VP is going on about how we’re gonna penetrate the Japanese market and for the rest of the day my coworkers are giggling about our Japanese Penetration. Which sounds it should be quite elegantly controlled and beautifully precise. We’ve got some machines at Infineon in Germany so that’s German Penetration, which sounds like it hurts, and hopefully you have a tarp on the floor. There are no fabs in Mexico so we don’t have to worry about Mexican Penetration, ooh how dangerous. Semiconductor manufacture is increasingly moving to China, so what’s Chinese Penetration?
