Ouch.
Ouch ouch.
Friday night went to Death Girl and Mr. Zero's I was mighty mighty drunk Friday on a variety of curious and tasty beers, starting with Monty Python's Holy Ale which was surprisingly delicious for a joke. Then a Unibroue Ephemere which smells like spice and apples and tastes deliciously light. Then another whose name I forget but it was a Belgian-style thingy. I wish you could buy 6-packs of the 750-ml bottles that the Belgian-style beers come in, that would be glorious. But I was good n' drunk (as opposed to bad n' drunk) and I couldn't stop the goofiness no matter how hard I tried. Eventually Couplingchaos hit me with a taser and got me out of there before I started breaking shit and peeing off the balcony.
Spent Saturday hunting for Halloween costume bits and making sushi to bring to Silas7's birthday party, a party at which I drank lots of sangria and got drunk. Imagine that. There were cookies too.
Sunday I made burritos at Brigid's house and drank absinthe, pretty pretty absinthe white and red and green and cloudy. I took the bus there and it was funny. It feels weird to be driven along city streets by someone you don't know. Then I took the bus back to Harvard Square and walked home and by weirdo coincidence I ran into Couplingchaos at the intersection of Cambridge and Prospect. She was wearing blue jeans and little sneakers.
Went to Ceremony last night and had a big beautiful martini with the lemon peel twisted into a curlicue and when I got to the bottom of the glass I think my body went ow no more please. So I lay off the drinking and just danced, to the song that Addam played off the Adam Cohen CD I gave him that I'd borrowed from Photiq, he's the son of Leonard Cohen and that CD contains exactly one good song.
Ouch.
Also have you noticed that the Comcast billboards use the exact same hazy red color scheme as the 28 Days Later movie posters? It makes me a little anxious.
