Bacon. Oh god, all the bacon. The Battle went off well, like a pork belly blitzkrieg - dishes marched out of the kitchen, landed the table, advanced on the judges palates, plates were cleared just in time for the next wave of the bacon army to take the field. It’s awesome to have friends who step up to inhabit with such zeal the roles of Contestant and Judge, all I had to do was stand back and drink. And drink, and drink, and drink. Man I was plastered. At one point late in the night I soaked a cigarette in bacon grease and smoked it. My god WHY did you guys let me do that?!? YOU”RE SUPPOSED TO BE MY FRIENDS - STOP ME NEXT TIME. Christ. What do I have to do to make you realize I cannot be left unsupervised - cook down some heroin in spoonful of bacon fat and shoot it into my jugular?
