A life lived in fear is a life half lived.

Sara*Beth came down from the wilds of northern seaside suburbs last night and we watched Strictly Ballroom. Let me say again how freakin brilliant is that movie, how good Baz Luhrman was before he shat out that Moulin Rouge piece of crappy crap on crap with a side of crap.
Movies I Have Not Seen (Which I Admit With Some Sheepishness):
Pi
Citizen Kane
The Godfather
Movies I Have Seen (Which You Really Must See, Right Now):
Strictly Ballroom
Once Were Warriors
Photographing Fairies
Okay okay Moulin Rouge wasn't that bad. But, put alongside Strictly Ballroom, it lacks heart, truth and soul.

Date: 2002-12-03 07:13 am (UTC)To add insult to injury, Lurhmann is currently producing a version of La Bohème for Broadway. Kill me before I ever have to hear that.

Date: 2002-12-03 01:50 pm (UTC)And speaking of VHS, let me ask you a question. Should I get Strictly Ballroom and Romeo + Juliet on DVD, if I already have them on VHS? I'm pretty sure that the individual DVDs have all the same extras that your boxed set has (minus the bonus disc, of course); what do you think of them?
